Ok I think my turbo is on its way out. :o what I was wondering is which turbo will be best and easiest to replace it. I know the simple option would be to just replace it like for like. But I thought whilst taking it off I might upgrade it. At the same times think I will be doing a Bosch fuel pump too.

So which would be the easiest to Bolt on?
Depends what you have in the first place.

Although, all four of the standard turbo's are simple bolt on jobs as long as they come complete with oil lines. T2 would be the best choice.
If you have a K03 then a GT15 would be the easiest or if you have a K14 than a T2 would be the easiest.
T2 is the one you want for a standard turbo.
K14 is just as good as the t2 tbh Smile

As long as you fit a manual boost controller to if before you fit it Wink

I can't comment on this. My wategate is welded shut, lol
What's the easy way to find put what turbo I have. 1997 dturbo. Will any garret t2 do or should I get a specific one?
Most likely a K03 but it's French so you never know.
Yeah try get a Peugeot/Citroen one.
At a guess I would say you have a K14, it's usually only the very late ones with the K03/GT15, but with these they can vary quite a lot. You need to have a look underneath, google kkk k14 for a picture, the funny wastegate bit will stand out.

You will need a T2 from a 306.
Yeah don't do what I done and go like for like. Admittedly I went for another t2 but you may as well go for something better along the lines of td04 or similar

The turbo's fitted to all the other Pug/Cit XUD's will fit aswell though

I thought the exhaust elbow was a different angle on some of them?
If your turbo blows you have to go bigger, it's the law!
Well which would be the easiest bigger turbo to fit'?

Td04 hl 13t
Basically a Subaru impreza turbo. You'll need to get an adapter plate made from approx 8mm and some custom oil lines. Then enjoy double (from standard) power
Adaptor plate? You mean just a 8mm spacer between? Any idea where I can get the oil lines ?
I'd go for a TD04L over a HL tbh...
I've not done it myself so I dunno where to get the custom oil lines from
HL would be poo I recon, most hydraulics places will be able to make Hoses up for you.
T25 is easier to fit because IIRC you can use the same oil line as the T2 Wink

TD04HL is a tiny turbo and isn't the impreza one Phill, the TD04L is the scooby one, the HL is found on shoguns amongst other things IIRC
Yeh did some looking and HL can be found on Volvo's it's the L from the impreza. It's just I'm having to do a lot of work on it now and the list and the cost are getting bigger.mjust did the wheel bearings. Next is cam belt water pump. And I think a new fuel pump. But now I believe me oil seals have gone on the turbo. So ideally I would like a bigger turbo but if I need to replace it quickly a std one will have to do what is the max sort of power I could get out a std on with a Bosch pump & lda mod?
You could get it up to 130 or 140 hp I would think on a standard turbo Smile

If you need a standard One then I have a couple Smile
