I saw a very tidy xm in Castle Acre yesterday on my way to saving a 306 that was under water, someone didn't see the "not suitable for road vehicles" sign!! Haha

I think they maybe only 3 of these left in sunderland now!

Escort Xr3i, Vauxhall Cavalier, Ford Sierra/Sapphire,Austin Metro, even the good old Mini 1000 you hardley ever see, even though they made 10000000000000000000000000000's of 'em. Talbot Solara, Alpiine, Fiesta Supersport, Renault Fuego, any one remeber the Talbot Rancho Matra ?? god i'm so old !!
you forgot Allegro, Maxi, Marina! Wink (worked at the factory briefly)
First one ive seen in person! Citroen cx looking sorry for itself sat in a scrapyard Smile
today I saw an volvo 340, a mk2 scirocco and a mk3 fiesta, all 3 were in fantastic nick!
I wonder how many sciroccos are still on the road, as I read about them been pure rot boxes and panels were a bit of a bastard.
the Volvo 340 is the 1st one I have seen for nearly 12 years! the mk3 fiestas were popular too in the late 90s and when I was learning to drive. Now those are like mine, practically all gone!

can that Citroen cx not be saved? as some breakers are not always keen on breaking old cars like that, one of the lads saved a metro automatic, I think he paid like 50 quid for it, and it still had a test on it! It went through again no bother too, and it was sold on again not that long ago too!
I did ask about it at motorhog, apparently its in the part of their yard they can't access? Sounds made up but not a lot I could do haha! Didn't even get to look around/inside it which was a shame

north east motor salvage is like that too, have an area like that. Some of the cars that's been in there have been in for years! One of the lads took us around in there, and said check these out. There was a lot of time warp cars in! We managed to get in as there was a mini in there, and my mate was after some odds and sods off it, Mind that was a right old shed! It was custom cabby job, I put my hand through the boot floor!
saw a 15 plater proton! 1st new proton I have seen in years! not to mention a proton in general too!

looks like its the area or part of the uk you live in. as we have mainly nissans. I thought Proton went bust years ago.
Spotted in my work carpark earlier what must be a pretty rare beast now I'd imagine - a Gilbern Invader, circa 1969/70 vintage.

Hell, how many of you have even heard of Gilbern cars, let alone seen one in the metal?

On my way up to North Wales last week, I spotted a Fiat Uno Turbo and a Honda NSX within the space of about 10 miles not too far from Kidderminster. I can't remember the last time I saw another of either of those on the road, with most Uno's having rusted away and NSX's rare to begin with and most likely living in a garage 364 days of the year now Sad
i have read a small write up about the Gilbern Invaders in practical classics, but never saw one in real life.

Hmm, I could manage a 6R4 in a supermarket car park, but not a Quattro...
I never got a pic but a Lancia Delta in Yellow, as previously mentioned in here, is pretty special.

My job is delivering in posh parts of London so I may have a better one at some point Wink
I have a 404 in my work stand by.
It's a rare Peugeot ?
Not something you see everyday haha
