Hi all.
The time has come to go td04. I've found myself a good turbo and an adapter plate to fit my manifold.

Does anyone have any details of the oil lines I'll need basically and where they go on the turbo. Ie threads unions length etc. Feed and return.

What shall I do with the wastegate bearing in mind it's going in a 205 and will need clocking.

Should I gearbox mount it.
Should buy mine ready to bolt on with a braided oil line Wink

For the oil line you can get a braided one that connects to your existing oil line or gay a full length one any hose company can do this
Hmm how much
£120 already clocked with braided oil line and return hose everything is there just needs bolting on no work needed all the hard works been done
With the manifold or not and is the wastegate welded and how much play in shaft
Hardly any play boost well it's complete mate manifold elbow to downpipe everything is there ready to bolt on and off you go

The waste gate is welded easiest option due to the lack of space
Yeah you're right. Will you take 100 for it.
No mate sorry it's worth £120 it needs nothing bolt on kit

Braided oil lines on there own arnt cheap

christ 120 is a mega steal, I want to buy it just to store it!
Still got people knocking me down at that price!
give me your account number, you'll have it tomorow... haha...

looking at 2 standard TD04's here in Holland, came directly from the scoobs engine...
sellers are asking 250,- euro's (thats 206,- British ponds for you people),
so 120 + the shipping for a prepped TD04 is peanuts...! Wink
Bumpy. What do I need to do oil line wise then and are all td04s watercooled?
May have to have a oil line made up.... not to sure

But I know most don't use the water cooling side of it as it is not needed so, either blank it up or leave it open
I'm mor than happy to plumb it in if it keeps the egt down as I'm de wastegating it.

Had an oil line made up today was only sixteen quid in braided stst.

I am leaning towards box mount now...
Don't bother, more effort battery relocation kit. Manifold. Down pipe ect

Just adds more lag and more money/effort just leave it down back Smile

You need some plates or weld it to a manifold

The turbo needs clocking don't bother with the water cooling jacket

I welded the waste gate on mine as it's tight fit anyway without the waste gate

A braided oil any hydraulics place will sort you out Smile
Got an adaprer plate with the turbo and the oil line is done. Fabbing up an exhaust is no prob.
Sounds good. TD04 deffiently is the cheapest power in the long run I think. Let me know how you get on with fitting it Smile
Getting on okay clocking it this afternoon. Disassembly only took about 15 mins will remove dowels and line up tomorrow! It's dead easy. Will laser cut the plates to make my hot side flange exhaust on Monday and tig up the wastegate.then fab up an oil return.

Didn't have any big circclip pliers so improvised.[attachment=15930][attachment=15931][attachment=15932][attachment=15933]
Them pliers are epic.
Don't you know it!! I've spent a lot of time on an angle grinder but these pliers dont exactly show it. At what shall I Start the bidding
Please dont use the standard down pipe flange, really restricts these turbos
U want a nice tight 2.5inch down pipe at least
Yeah standard downpipes hold you back before you've even begun!
Yep! Already got it covered. Can't beat big bore! I'm not going to run a silencer box. Is this advisable
Id personally run a straight through to a free flowing back box, takes edge off the awful noise and looks better
Loving the pliers!! I wouldn't bother box mounting, most turbos upto 300hp will easy fit down the back ....unless its for show of course which is equally win too just make sure it's worthy of being there Wink
Will make it laggy as too box mounting I think. Am I best putting in an mbc to make it easier than adjusting the rod?
Yes i think that would be way easier.
