Hi how easy is it to replace the engine mounts as I think mine might have gone as I have got a lot of feed back through my pedals whilst driving, my gear stick has the usual shaking problem and most of the time when I pull away from being stationary it judders when I let the clutch out.

Is it easy to replace them if they need replacing or will i need a hoist.
Could all be done with a trolley jack, relatively easy really.

Great news as I'm limited with space and tools. Thanks also how many are there I know of the one at top left as you look at the engine and one underneath.
Three mounts in total - upper engine mount (drivers side top), gearbox mount (passenger side under battery) and lower rear engine mount.

The only one that's a bit of a pain to change is the lower rear mount, as you need to remove the driveshaft for that which in turn means draining the gearbox oil. Not difficult, just a little time consuming.

Worth checking the condition of the shell where the upper mount screws in as there is often cracks or it broken away entirely. Noticeable knocking or cracking noises as you come on and off the power are a giveaway.
Let me know how you get on as I think mine are fubarred
I heard a knocking noise from drivers side, when i turn or speed up in 1st gear..

I thought knocking noise when you turn could be drive shaft, not sure. A
s for my car its going I'm selling it for around £300 possible head gasket failure.

But it;s a low knocking noise, and it's in low curve, if i'm parking for example don't hear anything..
