Many people have, I'd go 3" downpipe if possible town to a 2.5" after it's under the car.
Otherwise 2.5" all the way back is fine, ZX runs 200bhp+ on a 2.5" system.

Depends if you have:
- a big turbo
- no air filter
- no boxes
If your planning on a straight through it will be loud and sound like a tractor.
However the sound doesn't travel that far if you ask me, it's quite a deep note.
Here's a video of my DT on a 2.25" straight through:

And one of it with a straight through to cherry bomb:

I made a 2.5" for mine with a straight through backbox. Mines quite loud but then my car is stripped out and it literally a tin can. If you have seats and sound deadening etc it would probably be fine.

Cheers for the videos Tom. Think a 2.5" is on the list.

I found this. The exhaust note on idle is so quiet. If it wasnt for the bag of nails up front you wouldnt know it was running!

I had a straight through on mine for a couple of days before i fitted my back box and it sounded EPIC!! I could hear the turbo whistling on tick over in the car with no windows open, was pretty loud but easy to drive quietly!
