31-01-2014, 08:27 AM
Yeah thats normal...i bet most would find that under the underseal in those areas
31-01-2014, 09:33 AM
Very common where idiots jack them up there and split the welds and underseal.
31-01-2014, 11:50 AM

It's comming on well considering it's only a side project when they no work to do,I think he got a plasma cutter which make mince meat of the 306

mine didnt come up as an advisory, but i only found the true extent when i went poking cleaning up the arches, found a small scap of rust hit it with the wire brush and it wernt a small scab anymore but all fixed now onto the next item to fix

Well today carl fitted the engine
Arrrrhhhh sounded like shit then lost compression
So know really don't now do with it? As I definitely haven't got the money to do a complete rebuild, hoping carl as got a decent head and or bottom end.Seems like my luck for 306"s has nt changed

02-02-2014, 08:41 AM

Yeah cheers, im actaully away for a week so be good for me.Guess it better it when now instead of half way to FCS or something.
I did sit down last nite and work out what it would cost roughly to get down, i also have about 300-400 pounds of car bits comming next week which i cpuld probably live without.

No not as yet, though I heavily suspect hg failure, hoping we can skim the head. That would be a result.hopefully get It diagnosed this week then can go from there.

#Update#
So guys bit of a update I got these of eBay and received them today.they are recaro treadline, many found in evo 5,Clio trophy, r26,accord type r.I had this type of seat in my old accord type r and thought they where great supportive seat.know I'm getting old I need to relax,f*ck having proper buckets again
So here they are not a amazing condition but very good considering what I paid, just trying to so something different as never seen these in 306
Dig out some old sliders, quite literally see the mud :lol
Here s the base already has a steady looking frame with a few holes in
Had a little play around, feeling quite postive they can be bodged fairly easily.Just have to make a plate to clear the bottom of the seat with the base plate I'm probably going to use.

f*ck you they blue :lol honest they are!!!
Measured them up briefly, would like to of use the original mounts as don't have to bugger around With seat belt pre-tensioners.
04-02-2014, 08:38 PM
Seeing them makes me want Recaros now. Bored of my RX8 seats lol
04-02-2014, 08:48 PM
Those are lovely perches, love how oem they look.
04-02-2014, 09:17 PM
Do it mate so comfortable, long journeys and track time is going to be great they really hold the top half of body nicely.
Looking at getting some alcantara maybe geting them done so really give it the perfect oem+ look
I ready can't see why people haven't done this before. The seats generally go relatively cheaply on ebay. Fair enough there will be some fiddling involved.
I may make a 'how to guide' though I like beeing different

They do look pretty good as is, would be sweet trimmed in alcantara though
Do they fold forward for 3doors?

Yeah tempted as the middles are fairly worn.I get qoute first before start to bodge
No don't fold for passengers But these seat do come in 3 and 5 door applications I.e in the 182 and r26 so be looking into how that works but fairly confident they can be easily modded to incorporate the tilt forward function

Shouldn't be too bad to change over then
Are you going to just use the normal belts or are you stripping it and using harnesses?
