Full Version: lucas pump stop solenoid replacement

Got my stop solenoid removed from my lucas pump, but my new one looks totally different to my old one, any ideas

is the black shroud thing on the old one, part of the tamper proof setup?

looks that way.

screw the new one in, find your 12v ignition feed (mostly red wire on the pump plug), put a ring connection on the end and connect it onto the top of the solenoid.

yeah, its all sorted now, ive had to run a wire from the battery, so i can put a switch in or else the car will just keep running without the ignition on, was a bit of a faff but got there in the end
Wire it from the reverse sensor or something that's ignition live

okay bud. have you got to the old solenoid yet?
