Morning,

We were just wondering what this actually is, as I've never seen it on a petrol 306 but was right in the way when we changed Declantg's bumper on Saturday. Its in the left hand wheel arch, with a huge plug on the bottom of it.

Looks like an ECU for something....but obviously not the engine lol!! So what is it?? Big Grin

off side or near side, The left depends on weather your looking from the front or the drivers seat.

If were talking passenger (nearside) wheel arch its probably the alarm siren.
Sounds like the alarm controller
The bitron? box i think its called?

On ph2 anyways...controls the AC / rad fans etc iirc..

Ph1's dont have them as its fully mecanical (FTW)

There is also the alarm sounder down there if the car has alarm...

I've always been taught left is as you're sitting in the drivers seat - so passenger side. Smile
It's the bitron unit as Darren says.

No idea if it has an alarm lol. Dec's is a T reg so a late phase 2, so it probably is for the fans and stuff then.

Was just curious, cheers. Big Grin
