Hi all i have a t2 i think (actuator arm) my boost atm is 1.3 bar and i want to go upto 1.5 or just below so how many turns would people say to get that far? I only want to do this once thats why i ask Big Grin cheers
For just a 0.2 bar increase you are looking at just one turn.

My T2 went up by ~0.37 bar with 2 turns.
Id just screw it all the way and get a mbc to to control your boost
Also if you wanted to change it then you dont have to get under the car to fiddle just turn a screw on top

How do you fit one of those if you have a wastegate arm though?
Pass lol
The lil rubber hosey thing from compressor to wastegate iirc extend it to the top of the bay where the mbc can sit then control it from there. Just put the boost all the way up and the mbc can control it
Ahh i get youWink That makes sense but its such a pain getting to the turbo :/
You mean put the boost all the way down and let the MBC control it right?

If the actuator is set to max (e.g. 30PSI) and the boost controller to say 20PSI then once the MBC opens allowing the air to the wastegate then it still won't open and will boost to what ever the actuator is set to.

If you leave the wastegate at say 14PSI and set the MBC to 20PSI, then it will work.

Do you see where I'm coming from?
I thought mbc work to limit the boost? You set it high then the mbc controls it lower

Case 1
If actuator is set to 30 PSI then it will only open at 30 PSI.
If boost controller is set to 20 PSI then it will open and let air to the actuator at 20 PSI.
However because the actuator is set to 30 PSI it won't open and will just keep boosting until 30 PSI is hit.
Therefore your boost controller is doing nothing.

Case 2
Actuator is set to 14 PSI.
Boost controller is set to 22 PSI.
Driving down the road boost goes up to 22 PSI, boost controller opens and lets the air to the actuator which will then open as its hitting over its 14 PSI pre-set.
Fair enough. Lesson learnt :-) ill shut up haha

I'm not saying I'm right or saying your wrong for that matter.

Pretty sure there was a debate on this a little while ago..

No need to shut up. lol
Haha like i say thats just how i thought they work im sure ruan or lobbster shall be along at some point to enlighten me lol
My arm is turned 2-3 times and mbc is all way in and it can hit 27/28psi still

Shut up phill... Smile
Silverzx is right, keep the actuator arm at standard/minimum and use the MBC to control boost Smile
i told 4way this a few weeks ago....... you better start listening to your daddy biatch! Big Grin
sorry sir :-( lol im a forgetful shit tbf
