Sorry if this isn't the right section, couldn't see DW8 so thought I'd lump it in tih the XUD section.

We changed the clutch on my DW8 engine estate recently, and a few weeks afterwards the plastic clip on the engine end of the throttle cable worked it's way loose. Rather handily it did this on a roundabout in rush hour so you can imagine the 'fun' this created.

Anyhow, I got it back on, there's a bolt with two nuts on it and this screws into the bottom of the plastic clip and holds it in place. There is also what I would call a 'slider' so it can be positioned in different places. Anyhow the bloody thing came off again the other day, so once again I whizzed the spanners out and tightened it up.
Now the obvious question is...why does it keep doing this? Is there supposed to be a 3rd nut to act as a locking one, is there a circlip or something missing, or is this an Achille's heel and the plastic clip has worn slightly?
Any advice/experience gratefully received, I'll try and find a picture in the meanwhile to show you the bit I mean! Cheers in advance.
