For my standard ph2 lx td, what boost gauge range do I need?

Depends how far you're planning to take your car power-wise. Mine goes up to 30psi.

yeh one that goes up to 30psi. any will do but the cheap ones may not be as accurate.

Do they need a negative scale?

No, as its diesel, no need for vacuum gauge, but mines got one.

Any will work, just dont bother with a 20 psi limit, it will max out even when the cars not tuned
