Hey all i am looking in too fitting my TD04L.
But i dont want too run dewatsegated.
What can i do so i can have it on
Thanks stewart
anyone done with with wastegate still on ?
use a k03 manifold and a adapter like mine then you can run fully waste gated Smile
Aint a k04 manifold for a hdi ?
noo eather a gt15 or k03 manifold is what you want from the xud i had a look at te scrappers but they had nothing sutable
ah gutted what about a kkk what manifold is that ?
cos av got a spare t2 and kkk turbo
theres two of each turbo lol two garrets (t2 and gt15) and two kkk's (k14'and ko3)
i guess you have the k14 with internal wastgate? the k14 and t2 share the same manifold so most likely no goodSad
its the one with that ball houseing on with 8mm nut

k14 then Sad

this is the gt15/k03 manifold you are after

angles the turbo different which in turn allows you to keep the wastegate Smile

and this is a t2/k14 mani see the differences?

so is that deffo the one i want yeah ?
thats the one anto's used and im useing and i belive a few others have used Smile

?
turbo the house ????
I used the k03 manifold, same as anto's. Haven't quite got my wastegate fully sorted, need to make up proper brackets for it.
And I guess you mean your trying to clock the turbo round, you have to take the clamp of, then split the hotside from the centre cartridge and theres a wee pin you need to remove before you can clock it. Same on the compressor side, remove the circlip, split, remove pin and again you can clock it!
houseing lol
i cant turn it ive took the clamp off wheres this pin ?
The clamp holds two flanges together..you have to split the turbo at that joint, wedge a screwdriver in the gap and work your way round..when you have it in two pieces you'll see the pin!
studturbo Wrote:i cant turn it ive took the clamp off wheres this pin ?

between the cartridge and the housing, as said already you have to remove the housings without bending the blades on either turbine to remove the pin!
tryed the screwdriver not moving its been a pain

Well you have 2 choices..........

1 - get it apart
2 - don't fit it

so can a suggest a large dose of MTFU and get on with it Smile
Yea, mine took a hammer and chisel! Just make sure to work evenly around the housing, and be firm without breaking anything!
ok lads ill MTFU and do it cos its going on my car and also anyone run 1 of theses standard boost for turbo ?
No, but they're about 8-12psi stock...

It'll be seriously shit!
well am gunner be putting my mbc on anyway do u leave it standard and use mbc to turn it up ?
Agree with ruan, I'm at 16 - 20 odd psi and even that aint enough!

I had to move the wastegate, and doing that will more than likely completely mess up your standard setting so best use the mbc aswell!
For the effort its worth I'd not bother (personally).
i dont want to run dewastegated Sad
