Cant you just tweak it? If not xud one fit in? If not then make an oil line lol. You can get fittings off the bay of e. Just need the right threads then some an fittings for the pipe no?

I need to pull my finger out and build my beam.
Got 21mm bars to go in and a gti6 ARB, group n 205 rear shocks too.

Roller bearing wishbones as well to put on.

Cleaned it the other day, come up well

Beam, front arms and brake upgrade tomorrow.

The turbo and 307 manifold have landed, going to start making the adapter soon.

What do people do to change the actuator

Plans sound good! Going for GTI6 brakes then or 302s?

307 hdi 283mm diameter, 3mm smaller piston size vs 6 brakes.

Mate had them lying around thought I'd buy them cheap

Ah fair dos! They use wider disks so a bit heavier but newer callipers I suppose! Bit more expensive to buy discs and pads for them to the 6 brakes ive found, but should stop the car well!

Lengthening the actuator arm is the neatest solution i've seen yet.

Thanks for the tip. Although the arm is extended and holding the wastegate open, so it would need shortening or the vac can flipping. Which I'm not really a fan of.

Or maybe space the actuator away from the turbo and shorten the arm, but it would still work off vacuum not boost

I used a different actuator on mine.
I had one off a TD04 in the shed, so used that with a MBC.

Activated the abs by pp2000 and bleed the brakes.
All good now

Ah sorry, i didn't realise you were trying to use the vac can. I believe Steve can map in vac control, but personally i'd just use the boost can off your old turbo. Looks like this is really coming together now.

I think using a boost can is the way forward. I've got a td04 one I'm going to try and use, I believe I've also got a t2 one some where.

I'm fitting the rollers this morning, see what they're like, I find the powerflex to give some odd handling characteristics, unless there's other parts that are worn on the car?

Apart from that the rear is a touch high but handles bloody amazing, braking is transformed too.

Top mount bearings are next on the list, might try and do them as well this morning

What do people set their tracking at on roller bearings?

I'm guessing 0' as there's no play

The td04 and the gt2052s turbo actuator look very similar hopefully it'll fit. I'll cut down the bar and rethread it.

I'm hoping I don't have to clock the thing

Good stuff going on here! I'd love to hear how the roller bearing wishbones are on an Estate.

Looks like a solid car, really like the blue estates. Shame the ones I looked at where all butchered on the outside.

i would assume roller bearings should be set the same as standard bearings, also turbo looks good man.

on a side note what wheels are those, i quite like them

Can't wait to get the turbo on now!

Fitted some fli 6x9's in the rear earlier, by means of a hammer to "shape" the metal. I also managed to get the aux stalk to work when I found the adapter

Did my tracking, set it to parallel and handles sweet.
Gave it a much needed oil change as well.

Going to get some metal plate ordered up start making the adapter for the turbo

How long did it take to fit the the speakers got a set to put in mine just not had the chance. Also where did you get the roller bearings from and what other bushes or suspension you replaced. My front end doesnt give me confidence to have a real spirited drive.
