About to fit an oil pump, got a choice of two. One makes significantly louder clicks when the sprockets turned. Does this suggest one is better than the other?

Take them about and see which one has worn the casing more / has more lash....specs are in haynes if you wanna be anal...clicking means nothing, as one could be dry and one wet with oil...
