Which 306 is best for track use?
#1
Hi all,

I am looking to buy a cheap track car soon, and I quite like the idea of a 306, particularly the 1.9
D-turbo, has anyone used one of these on track, or are any of the other models better?
I would be very grateful for advice Smile

Cheers
Harry

Rallye...same power and suspension as a GTi6 but lighter.

People do use DTurbo's on track but cooling them is the main issue. You'd also obviously have to tweak the pump and turbo to get enough straight line power to be useable on track.

GTI6 / Rallye, yes.

All depends on your budget. Do you want to have a cheap fun car or something more dedicated and spend £££s on it.

If you're going as cheap as possible, then maybe an XSI

Its definitely the gti6 or the rallye. I would choose the gti6 as they are more common and you can take some stuff out and sell it. The rallyes have value as standard, not with holes cut in them etc.
