High exhaust manifold pressure
#1
Brief background:
Cars got a gt2052v vnt turbo installed with a wastegate actuator to operate the vanes either on or off. Reving the car up on stock map would cause the turbo to chatter resulting in the engine stalling.

Last night i mapped the car up to my old stage 2 160bhp power to run it in a little bit. This has caused excessive exhaust manifold pressure. When i now rev the car and cause the chatter it takes the engine out briefly onto 3 cylinders which i believe to be a valve floating open. This clears up in seconds

Tonight my intentions are to rig up a temporary emp gauge and adjust the vnt top screw to bleed the pressure off tye manifold to a safe level.

My question is whats considered healthy emp and a dangerous level of emp?

Maybe a stupid question, but why not just put a proper map on it? It will never run properly without the vnt control mapped in and there are a few mappers who can do it properly these days...
