Cheapist/common option would be a omp bolt in. Bolt in is generally easier to install and remove if required. Weld in is generally much more involved with more options

Yes I’ve had and fitted both bolt in and weld in cages. A bolt in is pretty strait forwardjust a case of removing carpet and welding in the base plates, more time spent marking and preparing than anything else. Easily done in a day though with the omp it’s only a 6 point so obly 6 plates to weld in as the 2 half’s of the cage bolt together with sleeves.

The weld in was a lot bigger and complex cage so required a lot of welding as come in kit form so weld every tube together.

Hey. Ive been through the same process. You can easily get a bolt in and weld it in anyway. I would advise against the OMP one as it wont allow door cards to be fitted. I have a safety devices cage and its perfect. Get them to weld the X in with the harness bars.

The only issues and probably with any cage is you wont be able to open the lower glove box so be sure to remove it. Also that the dash wont be able to come out without the cage coming out so make sure your heater matrix is good before you commit

Thanks Eeyore, i take it you havent harmed any of your interior by fitting in the Safety Devices bolt-in? apart from removing the rear seats?

so everything can be put back to standard apart from the carpets which i kept in the car and have holes in them where the cage legs go through.
