I assume the 1.9 D boxes which look very similar (believe take the same filter element too?) don't actually fit..? Most standard 6 ones seem to have rusted away by now Sad

That is an idea. Do the D Turbo plastic ones fit/work?

Looking at a picture of one, they aren't identical (no resonator, intake pipe comes out straight as opposed to 90 degrees).. however I reckon with a 90 degree silicon or something similar it could be made to fit.. be nice if we could get some clarification from an 'expert' though. Certainly wouldn't have the rusting problems either being plastic!

Is the canvas looking hose part of the air filter? Where does it go. Mine is a 1997
