check the torque settings, make sure the new flywheel comes with the bolts, most do, though annoyingly not the clutch to flywheel bolts so make sure those are in good nick.

clean the bellhousing out and make sure the starter isn't full of dust or bits of metal, on fords its quite common for the starters to pack up on DMF equipped vehicles before the DMF actually fails totally and the replacement wont last long either.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

Flywheel has the bolts with it, any idea what torque setting may be?

Starter is packing up in this one too, is it the starter that causes the DMF failure or the other way around?

dmf and clutch dust kills the starters.

I only have a 2007 copy of autodata, but the 05 on 1.8 tdci torque setting is 35Nm +45 degrees. clutch to flywheel is 29 Nm, front hub is 30 Nm + 90 degrees.

wheel bolts are 90 nm if gold nuts on steelies, 130nm if silver nuts on steelies, 130 nm on alloys apart from 110 nm on the locking nut.

Does it have one of the clutches that needs clamping down and setting. Can't remember the exact term but some of the newer auto adjusting type things needs special tools to set the clamping force.

Awesome cheers mate it's an 05 [emoji106] reckon I'd get away with stripping and cleaning the starter? Seems to be just sticking on a couple seconds after starting

I'm not sure, I know the ones you mean as I've seen a couple of posts online... Guess I'll find out when it turns up

yeah.. dont bother buying the DMF and clutch, sack the focus off and buy a 306 with change for a full tank of fuel, much better
Given the choice between Niall and the sheep. I would choose the sheep!

Changing a duel mass is no different to changing a normal flywheel, just unbolt and bolt up the new one, I put a dab of lock tight on the bolts for piece of mind. The last one I done on a focus I ended up converting to a solid state flywheel at the customers request, it drove absolutely fine and was a darn sight cheaper and a duel mass.

Just pray the flywheel hasn't spun round and covered the bolts lol
