Yeah, diesel. I really do like the 206 but this was too tempting and doesn't rev as high at 70mph.

Ah of course, you get a proper 'box with enough gears on the 1.8 instead of the crappy 5 speed on mine! lol

That looks really nice tbh, tempted to look for the ZS kit in black lol. Doh Rolleyes

Erm, mine only has 5 gears too  Doh

Sits at 1750rpm @ 60mph which isn't too bad compared to the 206. Just needs a tyre and a radio code from ford as it recently had a new battery

Try moneysavingexperts forum for the radio code, I'm sure the ford code thread is still on there

It does!? Confused Sure I'd read they were 6 speed same as the 2.0. Doh I don't sit at 60 but 70 is over 2k in the 1.6.

Not sure if Ford charge for the codes but if they do there's someone on here that might be able to help lol.

You cant be complaining at that Tom when a 306 hdi sits at 2.4K at 70

It's over 2k lol, I can't remember by how much! Tongue

Certainly a lot more engine noise at speed than the 6 speed Golf or Vectra. Don't understand why you wouldn't fit a supposed eco engine with a 6 speed anyway. Confused

Exactly why i'm selling the 206.
At 70mph its at 2,100ish, same as my 330d
730d was 1,750rpm at 70mph, joy of having a 6th gear

Regarding radio codes, it's the newer style stereo. All the forums with codes seem to be for the older version. Ford charge £23, which isn't too bad

I'll prob just keep the 330d tbf, rather than risk buying a car to save money and end up with stupid repair costs. Spending £300 odd in diesel a month now, Walsall to Warwick/Gaydon everyday Sad

Warwick and Gaydon suggests that you work for JLR? or Aston Martin?
Nice looking car by the way. Looks good Smile

My 1.6 only just scrapes 50mpg at 70.  The 1.9CDTi Vectra was lucky to scrape 45mpg at 70.  Only one I've had any good at motorway speed was the 1.9 PD130/180 Golf, 60mpg+ on cruise at 70.

I get 55mpg in the Vectra on a run easily. Average is around 44mpg.

When did you start at EMC? I was there since Aug 2015.

You don't happen to have a black 306 do you?

In the tooling area in the machine hall to start with Smile
And congrats for getting it nice work. It wasn't long ago I was strolling round your old line to have a look.
I started back in 2012 as an apprentice then became an IMT in machining.
I don't have a black one nah. I have a medium blue one. Supprised I ain't seen you in the car park.
