The only real difference is the offset...you need to run spacers (and tyre sizes, actually) to fit them to a 306 without them scrubbing.

Im not that good with the fitment sides.

I just know like ford peugeot then vauxhall vw what fit what etc.

So the 10mm spaces will bring the wheels out more I take it?

Is that cause they tutch something?

thanks

What will 205 40 17 from 206 wheels be like on the 306?

Get the offset right and it will be fine
The 306 optimum etc is about 18

Depends on the offset buddy.

For 205's you do need to be careful with offset, especially if your car is lowered.

That looks lowered my mate is on challengers and on the rear I can get my fist in!

They say arch gap is like a vagina, the more you can get in the worse it is....

So 17inch the back will need lowering maybe 30mm or 40mm?

What other sizes like 15 or 16inch will be fine with out any lowering?

If you dont space them it will rub the back of the arch wearing the tyre and plastic.

If you dont lower it it will look like a monster truck

If you dont lower it you will look like a chav who has just bought a set of 17s cuz they sick

you will also need longer bolts or bolt on type hubsentric spacers

do not be tempted to buy cheaper non hubcentric spacers as it will be dangers as the wheel will have no sprigot to sit on

And be warned 17s with a 40 profile will make for a rough noisy ride

hope the info helps a bit?

Not especially mate. Obv you get better brands and cheaper brands but to be totaly honest there is no difference in preformance.
