VAG 2.0T FMIC on my 306 HDI - DONE!!!
#1
Ok guys! What do you think about this FMIC? Do you think I can fit it on my 306 HDI with A/C? With mi frend, we think we can do it!

[Image: New-Intercooler-for-Eos-Golf-GTI-Rabbit.jpg]

We did some modifitations to the FMIC, and VOILA! WE DID IT!

So what did we do?

First of all, modiffing the FMIC. We took out the plastic sides and clean it.

Then, we did our own sides of the FMIC to feet the 306, but making it Twin Pass

We started from those alloy blocks:

And transform them into:

So we did our own customized TwinPass FMIC!!

And also our own inlet:

We fitted the FMIC in front of both radiators (water and AC)

Everithing was made by us! We didnt use any part from any 307. We made our own project!

What do you think?

Certainly not without hacking the bumper and chassis and moving your washer bottle, probably not at all. Don't forget you'll need pipes with vag fittings to mate up to it.

unsure on the 2.0 front mount but it is the case on the side mounts on the older mechanical TDI and 1.9 PD's, unsurprising when a stock PD runs 2bar plus of boost.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

isnt this way bigger than needed anyway?

the core isn't that thick on them, so it wont restrict flow to the radiator whilst still cooling the intake charge efficiently.

As welshpug says, the core is very thin.

I did some modifications to get a  twin-pass FMIC ... Soon I will upload more pics

Very nice!

Top work - nice to see someone not doing bodges to fit these and actually making parts that fit correctly!

Thankyou guys!

And yes, I should build a new airbox. I should think where to take cold air carefully for not having problems with water in rainy days.

Next week Im gona remap the ECU... Expecting for a lot of HP!

Working on it.. We've yet to do anything that fits with the air conditioning in place, mostly because there's so few hdi's with it still working.
Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.
