After buying this off Carl sometime ago i decided to make some spare time and make a start on it, Plans are for mainly track use but still road legal. I have a OMP Cage to fit and new brake pipes to run next week, made a start on the engine bay just to tidy it up a little

Looks good. Remember to reweld the gear selector bit across before you put the engine in if not you'll have fun....
Really like this color as well.
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger

Saw this ( not the car from the OP ) last night in the fuel shop! Gti6, xsara rack, 309 beam, uprated everything underneath, nice dude that owns it too! Spec list can be found on 205gtidrivers username AMS! Very cool 205!

that engine bay looks great. What was the process? Sand, rust treat and respray? What did you respray it with as a base?

Didn't realise that Carl had finally sold it - he'd owned it over 10 years from memory and I'd been at a couple of trackdays he'd also attended.
Slightly ironic that you're putting a GTi-6 engine back into it when that's what Carl removed a few years back to drop a TU in for frugality after he sold off all the track parts! I don't know how much you know in terms of history of the car, but there's quite a few threads on the 205GTiDrivers and 306GTi6 forums he's done over the years.

Yes still got the roll cage mounts and i have a OMP cage to fit into it also :-)

Got a low mileage VTS Phase 1 Engine to go into it that i had in one of my GTi6s with a lightened flywheel and pulley and a bigger TB :-)

Now has full MOT and ive given it a few road miles, will be changing the gearbox to a VTS box as the right lock is a pain with the 6 speed.
