Been doing that all night mate, problem is you can only insure a car up to group 17 if you're under 21 and it's a temp policy but can't seem to find any company willing too

Yeah she aint bad sam, she's got a tiny bit of surface rust but its barely noticeable, main bad points is scuff on the bumper but i've also discovered there is superglue on the bonnet :S Any idea what i can get it off with??

Yeah phill it's pretty immaculate bar a tiny patch is coming away on the drivers seat but it's barely noticeable tbh!

I'm thinking giving it some nice lows, anth grey on the wheels and some black masks.. Would anyone be able to do a photoshop??

however, you can use acetone (nail polisher remover) to get it off, so pinch some off the mrs and try it (on an inconspicuous area first, i dont want to get blamed for ruining the paint!!)

Realistically boost isn't going to happen for a little while.. I'll get the handling sorted first then get the power upped :twisted:

The problem with that statement is how you define getting it 'sorted'.... I'm a year and a half into owning a '6, it's spent more than 6months off the road whilst I saved over winter, and has had a lot of cash spent on suspension etc. and I would still consider it a work in progress!!!! Mind most aren't as adenoidal as I am, so will probably settle with a half-decent set of coilies, or billies and enjoy it at that!

I'm all over the Gulf Competition like a bad rash, fully ester synthetic and a fairly good price, good amount of detergents..

Get that belt changed now!!! 15 years, it's going to snap!

Bloody good stuff this, I'm running it now. Opie oils do a bit of a 'scount too for clubs... You need to speak to Tim there; he deals with the club stuff. I also bought my spark plugs from them

Well.. when I say sorted, it needs a drop! Don't think I'll go for coilies as a decent set is out of my price range and I'm not going to need to be adjusting it all the time, I'll probably get a decent set of shocks and springs on the front so I can keep still fairly comfy too.. thinking of around 50mm drop on the front, want another set of gaz adjustable rear shocks as they are epic IMO!

Well as everyone rates that oil I expect that's what I'll be getting, I'd rather spend more and take care of the engine better than throw any old shit in, if anything I learnt with hdi was decent oil makes a big difference

Hmm fair enough.

Mind my Gaz GHA coilies were £435 delivered... you'd be hard pushed to get a Billy b8 & Eibach set-up for less than that...

They're also not bad on the comfort front. I'd happily do long mileage in it. Sure it's a little fidgety on bumpy roads, but the trade-off for adjustability and grip is easily worth it...

Hmm.. I could get a set for the hdi for £397.. tempted if they're the same price for the 6 as I loved the rears!

^^ Connor loves to tell me I paid more than he did. I really rate them, but make sure you get the right spring rate for your set-up, you'll be looking at softer springs than me I think but speak to Ripp about it; he'll put you right

Also, just FYI DONT get rid of those seats; they're the ph1 style, with deeper bolsters and more support in the bolsters too. Muchly sought after, as most ph2-3 owners spend a lot of time falling out of the newer type (like me...!)
