Two rear brake calipers on each side!
Would have cost a fortune but I bet is got a really good handbrake!
Amazing what you can do with cars if you have the money!

Wouldnt cost that much tbh, i bet the standard caliper is totaly standard and the 2nd one is JUST for the hydraulic handbrake.. 2 calipers, mounting bits, 3 bits of pipe, and handbrake with master cylinder and job done..

Very common mod done on rally cars of all Marques. Old fashioned, heavy and unnecessary IMO.

This. If you really want a hydraulic handbrake, why not just fit one good calliper (so not a 306 one) and use that?!

306 caliper works fine, you just need a properly designed lever and appropriate master cylinder, rare that any of the off tge shelf things work well at all.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

one thing, have you noticed the engine bay? throttle boddies, I wouldn't say that's pretty basic, throttle boddies is money.

its not even 200 bhp, thats quite basic.

also hasnt got decent dampers so they wont last long before needing a service or upgrade

185 BHP at the wheels so will be over 200bhp at the flywheel. He says the front Dampers are Avo Monotube. Perhaps not the best but they are still £1000 worth of kit.

its a standard engine, wont be over 200.

doesn't matter what the avos cost, they wont last.

Engine

Engine has just been fully rebuilt approx 100 miles ago the engine block is standard and has had new piston rings and all new shells fitted and ARP bolts new oil pump, gaskets etc. Pushing around 185BHP at the wheels

The cylinder head has been ported, polished and gas flowed, with new guides, lifters, and brand new Cat Cams fitted, new water pump, all belts have been renewed.

It is fitted with a stand alone DTA 60 Management system fully remappable and benefits from having Jenvey Throttle Bodies, competition fuel filter, competition fuel pump in tank and oil catch tank all in all a good reliable quick engine. Competition Engine mountings fitted, rev limiter light and large oil warning light fitted to dash, brand new radiator

There is a Competition Exhaust Manifold Fitted a 4 into 2 into 1 maniflow system which boasts to give extra BHP it also has a re-packable competition exhaust centre box and Scorpio Stainless Back Box.

doesn't sound pretty standard to me that mind, a standard engine to me, is running the OEM setup, that to me isn't standard, not been an arse with you mind welsh pug, so don't think I am pal,

Its a sweet engine. But seems low output for all that work.
Would like to see evidence of the power too if I was spending that much.

Just bilsteins on the rear...they will die fast.
Wishes for more power...

i had a quick chat with the lad servicing this at the New Brighton Prom Stages as i spotted the twin caliper setup when passing with my burger and chips. i'm sure he said the second set of calipers were off the front of a ford fiesta.

not sure the top mounts are the right way round though Undecided

As said it's a very basic car and engine, it may be 200bhp but won't be a deal more with standard pistons.

Avo monotubes aren't as expensive as you might think. Proper motorsport Bilsteins(not cheapo b6/b8/challenge/grpN) are ok on the rear, like the avos they'll want servicing every couple of events, they soon 'go off'.

It's got our top mounts on though so it must be fast! Big Grin
