Only through mot this morning and it didn't need much. Brakes freed up, a small patch, inner track rod and a few bits.

Now it's through mot the fun can start!

I've already land rover shocks in the back and will lower it on blocks when I get a chance. Then welded diff, deep dish 13s, stripped out rally/fast road spec. Maybe a f7r if I decide to keep it.

My inspiration

Love the Quattro-inspired bonnet vents / cutout too! I'm sure I've seen that little Volvo at a drift event at Donny? Does it have red/orange centres to the wheels?
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

on my test drive, with the egg beater, I saw a vw jetta decked that had broken down, looks like he had a front flat tyre. My dad said Christ those are back in the day!

Currently in Germany and there are two gorgeous looking Mk1 Golf cabriolets and an old wide arch Capri that looks a little rough around the edges just around the corner from my hotel.

I've just followed an E reg Nissan bluebird in red that looked tidy for its age and Around Buxton/Matlock area we have a few mk1, mk2 escorts, nova's and 205s that are rally prep'd.
There's even the odd caddy pick up and mk1 fiesta and rs2000 box shaped escort ( not sure what mk they are) kicking about.

The one I saw was in nice condition, the guy kept giving it the beans for short little bursts and it sounded absolutely fantastic. Practically growling and barking all the time.

seen a few of those about a couple of years ago, but I couldn't tell you how good they were, as I don't think they were all that popular.
got to say that, I think that shape of almera is rare sight to see too, as I haven't seen one in that shape for quite sometime!
Nissan blue bird, I cannot remember when I saw one of those last!

Got one of those almeras down the road from me, slammed and pseudo-track spec. Haven't been out in it, but it wasn't as quick as the stage 1 HDi by a long shot lol.

MOTd a bluebird earlier this week, some old boys pride and joy, was completely mint.

You don't tend to see old vauxhalls around thanks to the chav-centric customer base, they seem to have a penchant for completely running out of talent on track/b-roads/traffic light racing. lol

reason you don't see the old Vauxhalls, is that they were the most common car to be nicked. I remember seeing 2 burnt out Vauxhall novas in a space of a few yards from each other, about 15 years ago.
I tell you another rare one, the Reno 5!

Just reminded me on my Great Aunt's car. She had a C plate Micra from new, which unfortunately was donated to the fire brigade last year when she gave up driving.

Pretty impressive to keep a car so long though, and cant remember the last time I saw another in that shape.

I know the guy who owns that, 3 speed automatic haha it's immaculate inside and out. Think he bought it off an old woman who had it from new, he's also got a first gen nissan cube and a stagea that's been modded
