Hello peeps......I have a 306, 2ltr cab that has developed a battery discharging fault. New battery was fitted last month but it discharges totally within a day when left. Alternator distributes 14v when running. With a multi meter and ignition off it uses half and amp, and occasionally 3 amps. I discovered that by removing the shunt fuse (23) it will keep a charge and uses nothing. Although you are unable to lock the doors or start the car with this removed, it has temporarily solved the problem. Does anyone know this problem, where to look next etc.? any guidance here could save me hours.....if not days.
