Mods for 1.9DT XUD
#1
Hello all,

I previously had a 2.0HDI stage 2 mapped and running about 165BHP, built by a friend. Sold this a year ago however this week I am purchasing a 1.9 D turbo, XUD.

I'm just wondering, what's the best way of getting near to 165BHP with this car? Can anyone just list parts I would need to get me close to there?

Thanks,

Steve

Modified Bosch pump and a larger turbo will see that power

Turbo will need adapting to fit

Have a search there's loads of info

You really want a fmic before lookin at that sort of power. Then get bosch pump and bigger turbo. Screw out the pump and do the gov and lda mod. Should see good power gains but dont know if thats enough for 165 horses or not. Smile

FMIC, T25/TD04L/GT20XX, 9mm bosch will see 165 fairly easily.

Three fairly simple mod's.
Supercharged GTi6 Build
S14 Zenki Build

Don't NEED to go FMIC for those power gains. Spend the money on a more efficient turbo and set it up right and temps will be fine...its when peeps wind their td04s to 35psi that you start to cook the inlet
Wishes for more power...

I was running 40psi on a top mount with td04 just have some sympathy and it's fine

If you drive like a twat and are flat out all the time it's not going to be healthy

I like the look of a front mount though but then would be more of a sleeper if I didn't have one. What is the standard clutch like for that power? Anyone recommend what clutch would be better? I had a Helix clutch on the HDI I owned.

Also with regards to cooling, the standard cooling will be alright wont it?

If you were ragging it like on a track for ten mins or so it'll get hot. An occasional burn through the gears and it'll be fine.

Don't think the standard clutch would take the power. Need an uprated one
