Battery clamp
#1
Hi,

Have many of you guys replaced the battery clamps on your car?

The positive quick release ones on the estate are f*cked and I'm not sure whether to get some off a scrap car or buy some new universal ones?

What have you lot done?

I'm the opposite, I like the standard quick release ones for ease of use.

But how often do you take the battery out!!?

Im happier knowing it wont come loose or cause connection issuee with decent terminals

Very true and some good points. I think I might just be lazy.

Said crappy clamp.

I've tried bending it back into shape but it's still not the best.

Ahh, you mean the terminals....i thought you meant the clamp as in the thing that holds the battery still!

Haha, yep.

I did put terminal first as to what I was referring to but the terminal is on the battery. I think I should have put battery cable clamp to avoid confusion.

I haven't had a problem with the positive clamp tbh, the ones I've had have been plenty strong enough.

Though the negative is always poor in my experience. Had to change it on 3 or 4 of my 306s! Just used the heavy duty one from ECP, does the job fine and isn't really any more hassle to remove.
