It can't escape it's welded shut....
You have to set the boost levels with fuel

Try and keep the wastegate as a general rule. Really totally depends what turbo you use to how it will change your boost levels.

Im referring to a td04 which is used as a run around

Depends which sized td04. If its small and you weld it, you boost will be too high too soon (quick spooling turbo) meaning you have to limit your fuel in order to limit your boost. It's it's a large td04 then no wastegate will be fine.
