Haven't updated this in ages so hink it's about time.

I've got the front end stripped and started welding that up
Got the engine out after work today.
Fitted new thermosat and waterpump to the gti engine today.

Currently got the inlet manifold stripped to clean up and re-seal.

Not much welding to go just a patch behind each rear light. A patch on the passeger side floor and a small patch at the front.

I've re-painted the rear bumper and can get that on when the welding is done and rear is undersealed.

Will be on the lookout for a 309 rear beam soon when i have money

Ive finished welding the engine bay now, going to order some paint soon.

Also got a few more bits for the engine like, waterpump, spark plugs, thermostat, oil filter.

Just waiting on a camshaft seal so i can put cambelt on

Also did a bit of trimming to the engine mount to clear pulley
