Seems like some plonker forgot to fit the small bolt in the P bush when fitting wishbones (or it fell out) and it snapped the P bush. Wheel was moving back and forth in the arch by about 3 arches and yet this prat still decided it would be a good idea to take it on track like that and drive it home!

Christ, that's brave/stupid considering it wouldn't be the first 306 wishbone to snap at the front bush (and thats when the P bush is attached) let alone the somewhat dubious handling I'm sure resulted from the rather variable suspension geometry!

Still, no harm done seemingly and the air will once again be filled with the sound of bwarp! Big Grin

We convoyed home with him and we took a little detour and it took almost an hour of caning it at 90-100 to catch him so he wasnt exactly driving steadily haha!!

It was fitted but yes it fell out :/ Stole another bolt off the estate and now buying new bolts and threadlock to sort it out once and for all this coming weekend.

I have no idea what you guys were doing. I drove between 40-60 all the way depending on the road surface. I think you guys came off the A40 and went down to the M4 and then onto the M25 which is miles longer! At no point was I hooning and you guys somehow took forever to catch up.

Ultimatum... yes it was brave/silly but its all fixed now. The problem was the bolt fell out due to reusing the bolts and not using threadlock. Lesson learnt and tbh its a credit to the meyle wishbones for having such a strong front mounting to survive without the pBush.

Note that this is after ive cut the pbush it didnt come off the car with the angle grinded bits lol!

The small one which meant the Pbush lifted up and eventually snapped through the metal. Itll work the same as bending paper clips over and over again :/

Some of us live for the 306... some of us would die for the 306! The shame of being taken away from pugfest on a AA flat bed would have been terrible D:

Forgot to mention this.... I went to ECP and they didnt have pbushes for the partner. I then went to peugeot and they dont sell them individually and only sell them as part of a complete arm for £100+. I then went back to ECP to get pbushes on the arm but they didnt have any. In the end I just bought an £8 306 pbush. Its done the trick and ill probably upgrade to the powerflex ones when I have money.

Niall has given me the part numbers for new bolts so I will be doing this all again in the next few months.

In other news I have stripped the leather off the rear seats so I now have some super race car dividers to stop things in the boot coming into the front!

Havent fitted them yet but i think im going to have a problem with rattling so will probably need to pad them out. Plan is to cut off the headrest tubes and carpet them.

A few weeks ago I also did some towing. I was competing in a 50 mile sailing race in my 16ft catamaran. Needless to say a lowered throttlebodied 306 is a perfect towing vehicle!

And incredibly I did make it up the hill at pugfest twice so here are some photos from there. Made it worth doing.

They first brought up a diagram of the rear beam and I was like... Wtf its attached to the wishbone fool. Then they brought up that diagram and it was labeled B and apparently comes in a pack of the other letter labeled parts. Tbh the guy did look and talk like the trolley boy our of hot fuzz...

The front bushes can only be bought with the complete arm from Peugeot, but the P bushes are sold separately.
