Loss of power steering fluid
#1
So i get a call today from my other half, turns out her dturbo has taken a disliking to having power steering fluid inside the rack, and also decided why not sheer the PAS pulley bolt off for good measure.

I took the aux belt off so that we didn't end up with that wrapped around the crank pulley and drove it home.

My assumption is the rack is at fault which lead to the pump to run dry and sheer its bolt. But if anyone has any other ideas on what it might be something simpler i hope as i don't want to change the entire rack

Any help appreciated.

Also as a quick fix could i put a shorter belt on for the time being to keep the alternator running, using the original tensioner on an early ph1 xud engine (PAS at the bottom)

Something like this, (photo from Darren as only pic i could find with the right tentioner)
