BSA SuperSport Air Rifle
#1
As title
BSA SuperSport .22 with 9x4 deer hunter scope

Its in good condition. Has been stored since the last curts camping meet where it was last used. With a little tweaking on the scope it will be spot on, atm it aims slightly high
Its a good break barrel springer and is really strong ( and unlike co2 powered rifles doesnt fade over time and cost lots to refil)
Will come with approx 200 rounds .22 and a green carry case
Looking for £80

Anyway pics....

I take it your all up on the law that states that realistic immitation firearms and air weapons need both the buyer and seller to have a licence and you have that licence, as do the potential buyers?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?

Might have changed since i bought it but when i got it from portsmouth gun centre they said it was within the legal limit to not need a lisence for it
I didnt need a licence at the time but if i sold it on to keep details of the transaction and adresses

Ill look into it atm

AFAIK you don't need a licence if there under a certain power? I have a BSA and i carry it around the shops when we go out(cased ofcourse) and when i got i did not need a licence as i cannot have one which is why i chose that particular one.

As long as it's 12ft pound or under (which these are), it's a face to face transaction and the person is over 18 there's no license required.

Very good price BTW.

Oh just found it

Air pistols generating more than 6 ft·lbf (8.1 J) and air rifles generating more than 12 ft·lbf (16.2 J) of energy are considered firearms [15] and as such require possession of a Firearms Certificate (F.A.C.). Pistols and rifles below this energy level are unlicensed, and may be purchased by anyone over the age of 18.
The UK Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 prohibits online or mail-order sale of new air guns; transactions must be finalised face-to-face, either at the shop where purchased, or through a Registered Firearms Dealer (to which an item may be posted and the transfer completed). The sale and transfer of second-hand airguns is not affected by these restrictions.
From 10 February 2011, The Crime & Security Act 2010 (S.46) made it an offence "...for a person in possession of an air weapon to fail to take reasonable precautions to prevent any person under the age of eighteen from having the weapon with him...". This legislation essentially relates to the storage of airguns and the requirement of owners to prevent unauthorised access by children. Failure to do so renders owners liable for a fine of up to £1,000.

That rifle will not be outside the legal limit.
The newer model Supersports peak (in optimum conditions) 730FPS, plus time degeneration added on top of this would make that rifle well within the legal brackets.

Unless anything silly has been done like uprated springs, or you have removed the rifling (twisted pattern in the barrel), rendering it a f*cking huge pistol hence rather illegal, it will be fine.

Advertising on public domain is fine, just dont post the damn thing lol

Oh and Phil, nice curtains Wink

I used to have a BSA Meteor, which is an earlier model. It was my first rifle and even though it was only a cheap starter gun, its taken me ages to find a springer that's as consistent, as accurate, and as powerful as that old Meteor. My Weihrauch is the only gun I've found that's better, and that weighs a good 2-3lb more, and cost a fair few quid...

Great starter rifle for anyone wanting to get into airgunning, small and light but with enough power for rabbits at 30 yard Smile
