Post: RE: Turbo oil leak

There were 2 turbos fitted to the HDi90 in the 306, so it could be either a Garrett GT15 or a KKK K03. You should be able to find refurbished units online, just not ECP/GSF type places.

Lowering with torsion bars is simple in theory... But everything will be seized solid and the bearings will be knackered now. I wouldn't want to be tackling it on a 20 year old 306 myself.

Laser alloys? I reckon you can hammer a small deep socket on the centre but not sure it'll grip enough. Irwin bolt extractors weight be worth a try.

The splines are different between the TU engines and the XU engines. Weak MA box fitted to the TUs! You should be fine with any box from a 1.4 or 1.6, or even a 106/Saxo etc with the same engine. ...

Pull type clutch cables should all be the same. In my experience it was usually the clutch itself or the fork bearings that made a clutch heavy though. Changing the cable alone rarely worked.

Diesel is oily, it's horrible stuff that can cause crashes if it's leaking onto the road in large enough quantities. It's not like petrol that just evaporates. HDi fuel filters are in the engine ba...

You can search some cars by VIN but it looks like the 306 isn't one of them sadly. I've been using 7zap for years for Ford parts and others where it works really well - Servicebox was always the best...

The S1+ is a bit smoky as standard. You could drop to a stage 1 which should be about 125bhp. Adding an intercooler would help, but not worth the hassle and reduced reliability (more chance of boo...

Are they remote fobs or solid keys? If remote then just swap the blades over so the new blade is on your old fob. The chip probably isn't close enough to the transponder currently.
