I thought that the spring pans were in the same position and it was just the damper stoke that was different, to stop the shock bottoming out when run at lower heights.

OE Xsara VTS springs do work quite well on a 306 HDi - I ran them on my last car and liked them, although I'd have preferred them to sit a touch higher. |

Well, if you do successfully undo the nipples (and the calipers are otherwise in good / usable condition) then I'll buy them.
Can't see many buyers touching them unchecked tbh...

Common enough issue for the brake to drag slightly and prematurely wear the pads.
Check that the sliders move freely and that the handbrake is correctly adjusted. If they're OK, more often than no... |

The end of the mid-pipe seems to be where the exhaust usually rusts through and snaps. It's happened to me 3-4 times now on 306's, always in the same place.
They're cheap enough so just buy a new ... |

Remember that time was set on the "old" Castle Combe circuit before the chicanes were added, so you can't compare it to modern times.
