I wouldnt worry about lacquer peel (my diablo hdi has terrible paint) just concentrate on getting it mechanically sound. That HG is epic, ive seen my fair share of TU HG fails but that takes the cake!...

We get our shelters at work through sheerspeed in honiton. Theyre durable and easy to use, might be worth giving them a shout. They signwrite them to order too
