Thread: How to adjust VNT stop screw ?
Post: RE: How to adjust VNT stop screw ?
vnt boost is set up in mapping, not by the screw stop! If you can't achieve the boost curve the mapping wants, because it can't close enough - then you start to look at the mechanical side of things (... |

HDi flywheel is something like 38-2 toothed setup, XUD is just a simple 4 tooth affair
If using an angle grinder to remove the teeth - be sure that you don't get the flywheel hot, just "tickle" t... |

Thread: VSR turbo balancing
Post: RE: VSR turbo balancing
I've had a turbo sat on my bench I'm *dying* to fit, for over 6 months.... but it needs a rebuild. So on the bench it stays.
If it needs a rebuild, it's a pro job. Rebuilding turbos is simply not... |

I give it 500-1000 miles before it's shagged ;)
Although, I've seen home-built turbos die after half an hour of running too. Makes quite a mess on the dyno |

mechanical vnt control is pants at best, and an exhaust brake at worst. Did my dissertation on the subject - one setup gave so much resistance, we couldn't start the engine! lol |

2) reduces the amount of squish, which whilst not *as* important on an ... |

look under where the injection lines come out of the pump - under the high pressure head. If you see two wires going into a solenoid, in-line with the axis of the pump, it's got a timing solenoid.
