What do you look for when buying one is there cat/egr engine management ecu. are they reliable...XUD9TE?  Anyone tuned one?

I got all giddy as It is my first ever project...never too old to learn...I dread insurance renewal time at the best of times...but on the plus side Churchill have taken me back and not fleeced me on ...
