There is just too much to go wrong on a modern cars. On the German cars there is just about a sensor for everything with age and wear these components will start to malfunction or picked up by the ECU...

Sounds more like a fuel related issue, does it happen when you boot it up a hill in 5th? Mine was doing that, turned out my DIY lift pump fix was letting in air.

lol, heading to a scrappy tomorrow. Going to be taking the windscreen off, than chopping at the pillars and then make a cut off from the roof and then weld it on mine. Yaaay, not :/

I should have made it clear in the first post, the noise is definitely coming from within the engine, sounds like piston slap.

Not the crank pulley, that's billet, all new tensionsers and pulleys on the timing side.

Don't know of anyone here on .net been running over 300 lb/ft without box issues in the long run. Good for dyno runs, but that's box is not rated for them type of torque figures.
