No the lights dont dim, are them rtx starters from car parts for less any good, there about 40-50 quid new delivered. |

My 95 xud sometimes when you turn the key it just clicks, all lights on etc just hear a click and nothing else turn the key say three or four more times and it always fires up, lately its been getting... |

My 1995 1.9d na with the amazing Lucas pump is a proper pain to start after it has been layed up overnight or when it's left all day in the works car park.
If it's run then re started a hour or two... |

Sometimes i put the key in the dash lights come on, turn the key and nothing at all, and after the third of fourth go she fires up.
Doesn't do it all the time.
its a 1995 1.9 non turbo 306. |

I have a ph1 and the tailgate is going rusty under the seal and is heavily scratched, as its the only bad on the bit on the old gal I am looking at getting a new one as i reckon it will be easier then... |

True but we dont live in alaska. 10w-40 will be fine and its not like it will be doing 8000rpm or anything, not thrashing it from cold, letting it cool down after a thrash, keeping it serviced etc etc... |

I reckon any half decent 10w-40 changed often enough is perfect, spending 40 odd quid when it will only need changing again in 6000 miles is a waste of money. |

Lol it was 80 quid for a recon unit with 12 months warranty from a local diesel specialists, so thought why not, saves me messing about swapping everything over, plus I didnt really do much research t... |

Cheers for the responses but i took it off ok and sent it of for a recon unit, will be fitting it tues/wed when it comes back, so fingers crossed it goes back together o.k. |

Well short story the pump on my 306 xrd is leaking and to sort it, it needs dismantling, so a second hand pump is probably the best option, I dont really have the confidence to do it all on my own, so... |

I have a 306 xrd n reg non turbo and its leaking from what i believe is the fuel screw on top of the pump to which the throttle cable assembley is attached, if you put any pressure on it diesel comes ... |
