White Vinegar is really effective, but you'll need to leave it to soak for a while, then repeat with lemon juice. And it shouldn't strip any finishes eg: chrome etc (natural acids) and you'll be left ...

I got a 307 (0515.S4) one on instead of the standard (which I've gone through one in less than 6000 miles), cant fault it so far, I went for a recognised name rather than the cheapest.
