Start with fuse and work way to motor. Relays can be a bastard for melting/breaking down I've had it in both mine. Motor is easy to test just get a battery power earth see if it spins.

Britool expert stuff isn't too bad and comes with same lifetime warranty as others. Sealey premier are pretty good, and bluepoints new range isn't too bad either.

As said, easiest way to remove these is to weld a nut to it. And undo with a breaker bar |

As said check your upper engine and gearbox mount. I've had before where the rear engine mount was fine but it was the bush on the end of the torque bar (links rear engine mount to subframe) had worn.... |

I run an ancient td04 setup on a hdi gearbox. Drives fine. Better gearing for when you're driving spirited and much much better on runs.
