Inlet manifold pushed up against master cylinder - Ben - 05-01-2013 I've just put the new engine in the car, using the same inlet manifold and engine mounts. I used to have a gap of a few mm between the two of them, but now the inlets pushing into the MC. So the engines moved around 5 mm to the side/up. Really can't think why,any ideas? RE: Inlet manifold pushed up against master cylinder - Ricky - 05-01-2013 How far along the slots is it on the gearbox mount? RE: Inlet manifold pushed up against master cylinder - Ben - 05-01-2013 Good idea that I'd forgotten about those slots. I'll make sure its moved right over on those slots tomorrow and see if that makes the difference. RE: Inlet manifold pushed up against master cylinder - Ricky - 05-01-2013 I know someone else who had the same problem, he moved it on the slots and has been fine since. RE: Inlet manifold pushed up against master cylinder - Ben - 05-01-2013 Cool, hopefully will sort it out tomorrow then. Repped for the good idea!
