Mate has a 2.1 406 apparently his pump keeps coming loose
He tightened it himself now it's got chronic blue smoke.
Would this be caused by retarding the pump or advancing too far?
At first I said turbo seals until he told me about the pump

blue smoke is normally more oil burn...black usually points to unburnt fuel
worth doing visual of the pump...you should be able to see if the pump has moved from original position or not.

Play a little with the timing and see if the blue smooke clears.
