Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 30-12-2012 I'm in Austria at the moment, and I need to order some flexi intake piping so that it arrives by the time I'm home. I need it to be the correct internal diamteter to fit onto the inlet of a garret t2. I'm guessing its around 2inches but I'd quite like an accurate measurement. Could someone please measure the inlet diameter for me? Rep will be given! Re: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Dan! - 30-12-2012 Got a k14 and gt15 in the garage. Typical. Il measure them both in the morning though because they might all be the same... RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - parrotveasey81 - 30-12-2012 k14 is 47mm Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Parksy87 - 30-12-2012 Funnily enough i have one in my boot :p ill measure it tomorrow for ya RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 31-12-2012 (30-12-2012, 10:38 PM)parrotveasey81 Wrote: k14 is 47mm Thanks for getting the measurement I would have thought t2 would be very similar. Accidently repped you twice hope you don't mind! Anyone? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 01-01-2013 I used 2" pipe on mine. Wasn't snug snug but fit with no issues with a clamp. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 01-01-2013 Oki doke thanks. That probably means its the same as the k14 so ill get some pipe with an ID of 47-51 RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - strictly_perv - 01-01-2013 I used 51mm ID with no issues. Also used it for the outlet. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 01-01-2013 Just ordered some 51mm 2 ply neoprene/silicon stuff with the reinforcing wire in it. Should do the job. Will be tricky joining the filter on though, might have to be taped to start with! Ideally you want the inlet to open up to 3 or 4" by the time it reaches the filter.. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 01-01-2013 Don't think I have anything suitable I'm going to have to order a couple little bits, will have to wait a week or two though. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 01-01-2013 I think I have a couple of 90 degree elbows and some pipe from my old filter setup mate, took it from 2" at the blower to 3" at the filter. Let me know if they're any use to you, my car's always been defiltered so didn't actually get any time on the road. Nearly new cone filter too. Any pics of it in the bay? Could well be interested as it'll save buying it new. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 Yarp, two mins ![]() ![]() RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 03-01-2013 Looks good, my filter is going to be behind the other headlight, but some of those bits could still be useful. What are the individual bends and pipes you have, and how much would you want for them? I think my filter will be the same size, was it a 14 quid eBay jobby? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 Yeah was £15-£20 or so, can't remember. Got some pics on the camera I'll upload when home. I've got two 50cm lengths of 63mm pipe, a 63mm elbow and the filter, never ran on the car. Would say £25 posted for the lot if you want it all, or £15 posted for the pipes and elbow RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 03-01-2013 Sounds good, ill have that off you I think. How did you get from the 2inch flexi pipe to the 3inch metal then? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 I was wrong in my maths, would appear I used 2.5" pipe to the filter. I thought i'd gone 3" but apparently not ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 03-01-2013 Ok, what did you use to connect that 2.5inch pipe to the 2.0inch turbo inlet? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 I used a silicone elbow, you can get reducer ones that step down in size, so 63mm ID at one end and 50mm at the other end RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 03-01-2013 Could you sell that reducer as well or are you keeping it? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 If I can find it you can have it. Not quite sure where it went to though! I didn't use it for the FMIC though I don't think, so it should be about somewhere RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 03-01-2013 Cool be good if you could find it let me know after you've had a look? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 03-01-2013 Will do mate. Not sure if i'll be there tomorrow but def will be Saturday RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 05-01-2013 Any luck with the search? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 05-01-2013 Yeah just back mate, couldn't find the adapter im afraid so you'd need one from the likes of ASH on eBay if you still wanted these. RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 05-01-2013 Ok no worries, ill just take the pipes and elbow off you I think, ill leave the filter. Same PayPal as I used for the group buy? RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - cwspellowe - 05-01-2013 Yeah that's fine mate. Same PayPal please, and I'll get them to you by Wednesday RE: Anyone got a t2 to hand? - Ben - 05-01-2013 Payment sorted. Thanks ill let you know when they arrive. |
