Clutch cable stiff - Bananalad - 07-12-2012 Clutch got real stiff all of a sudden really and the biting point is real low.. New cable needed? Or is there anything else i can do? Thanks RE: Clutch cable stiff - Piggy - 07-12-2012 cable could be breaking internal...causing it to bind...hopefully its that. they not that expensive...just fiddly to change. is the biting point suddenly changed too? RE: Clutch cable stiff - Bananalad - 07-12-2012 Yeah the biting point is much closer to the carpet, but i opened the bonnet earlier (in the dark) put my hand down under the cable and tried to move it a little, i heard a kind of clunking noise and its much better now RE: Clutch cable stiff - Piggy - 08-12-2012 random...worth checking in dark...maybe a pipe or wiring has come loose and was interferring? RE: Clutch cable stiff - Kwik - 08-12-2012 reverse light switch wiring is normally the culprit lol RE: Clutch cable stiff - cwspellowe - 08-12-2012 Could be the cable getting caught somewhere and auto adjusting itself whilst being caught. I had a clutch that wouldn't return but rerouted it and all is now well |
