Official weights (both HDi Meridians) Hatch - 1155kg, Estate 1200kg, so you're about right.

Anyway...
Weighed the car today...

1180kg with half a tank of fuel.

My DT came in at 1030-1040kg when I weighed it, again with half a tank, no rear bench...

So yeah, 140kg less... I'd say that's about right...

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her GTB!! - Piggy - 19-06-2014

1040 is very light...

Rear bench cant be 100kg surely?!

Theres no way that a xud11 lump is heavier by 40kg!!!

Esp as my whole car comes in at 30kg ish less than a gti6 book weight

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her GTB!! - Ruan - 19-06-2014

Yours has a lot more in than mine did, mine was a bit of a barran wilderness inside.

Amps, subs, carpets, I had Buckets in also..

Phew that was hard work

TBs came out sooooo nice.....but the ARBs were proper seized in.

Difference between 19mm and new 21mm torsion bars...

[attachment=16988]

So upgraded from

19mm ARB to 20mm
19mm TBs to 21mms

Smile Smile Smile

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her GTB!! - Anton - 20-06-2014

Did you measure it with a vernier? If so what was the measurement?

The tbs sorry.

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Piggy - 20-06-2014

TBs were 19mm (cabby beam) now they are 21s Smile

Yeah, digital verniers used Smile

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Anton - 20-06-2014

So 21.00?

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Piggy - 20-06-2014

Yeah mate 21s!!!

[attachment=16989]

How it sits now...

Measured at identical distance to arch as with 19s but now sits about 15mm higher.

I know some wont like that...but its exactly what I wanted.
Nice n level now

And the drive is transformed...didnt realise quite what a difference they would make!!! Smile ThumbsUp

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Anton - 20-06-2014

Lol find that hard to believe with the paint that is all...

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Toms306 - 20-06-2014

Height is perfect imo! Its pretty similar to how mine sits on the GTi beam tbh.

Flipping ek...if you really wana be pedantic...

It ranges from 20.91mm in places to @ max of 21.43 due to paint/surface corrosion.

So I assumed they were 21mms!!

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Anton - 20-06-2014

Thanks, just did't look like 21's is all

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Anton - 20-06-2014

I think it might be 21mm's but not entirely sure

[attachment=17085]

Just need finishing and tidying....and welding to the car exhaust system!! lol

Just waiting on some 5v regs and a couple FETs and I finish the arduino mock up.

Not sure guna manage to get finished for pugfest though....arduino coding is frying my brain!

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - zx_volcane - 23-06-2014

Just bolt it on and run with a boost can till you figure out the electronic control

RE: 2.1 GTd...and her 21mm TBs....arduino headaches - Piggy - 23-06-2014

May do...bit worried about consequences mind.

Ordered some multi core wiring.

So I thought I can make the loom for the sensors and power, fit all that ready...while hanging myself over code!
