hi guys. recently i checked my oil and it was on minimum so topped it up a litre from what i had in boot. yesterday i checked it and it was just above minimum. went for a drive then checked it this morning and it was just above maximum. i have checked it 3 times to make sure. why is this as ive never known of it.

It's just the oil draining down from other parts of the engine overnight.

Was it still hot when you topped the oil up?

stick was in and was parked on a level road. i topped the oil up a few week ago but checked it yesterday it it has more oil in than it did when i last topped it up.
