206 Hdi cambelt - londondan86 - 24-11-2012 Evening chaps! Just wondering if someone can give me a rundown on the cambelt change procedure on the hdi or is it nice and simple like the xud. Does the fly lock off behind the starter, does the cam lock off and does the pump need to be timmed on these? Cheers RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Poodle - 25-11-2012 Fly locks off the same as on the xud's, pump doesn't need timing, nice and easy if you ignore the space restrictions. RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Pipps - 27-11-2012 Do you need to use a timing pin kit? RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - KrisB - 27-11-2012 No, just an allen key and some M8 or M6 bolts. Basically, anything that fits in the timing holes. I've made my own flywheel locker, no need to remove starter motors. Space is about the same as a 306 to be honest. Aka, not much. RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Pipps - 27-11-2012 Looks like you're doing mine then mate! See you Friday ![]() RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Poodle - 28-11-2012 I found an old paint roller handle makes a good flywheel locking tool. RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Jonny81191 - 28-11-2012 an allen key will do the job, but it's a PITA to get to the locking hole. RE: 206 Hdi cambelt - Poodle - 28-11-2012 Hence the paint roller handle, slots in very nicely without having to fiddle about too much, easy to pull out too.
